Soon the documentary "Exploded View" about freeskier Henrik Windstedt is released. The Norweigan filmer Fred-Arne Wergeland has followed Windstedt from Januari 2009 to summer 2009 documenting his life as a professional freeskier, capturing his journey around the world.
The film portray's Henrik's unique technique and style, and shows his gift of balance that has enabled him to ski with such lightness and grace. This is qualities that makes him one of the very few skiers in the world that master all aspects of freeskiing on a high professional level, skiing "everything" from rails and kickers to technical steep competition lines. From moguls to fluid big mountain runs and huge cliff drops. We'll follow Henrik on the "Freeride World Tour" where he had a lot to prove after winning the title "Freeride World Champion" in 2008. "Exploded View" also shows unique material from the making of Matchstick's new ski movie "In Deep" filmed at places like Alaska, Japan and Europe.
The documentary also includes some of his memories, stories and highlights from his skiing career up till now. It documents his life as a skier travelling the world, meeting new people, seeing new places and responding to new challenges. But the main focus is to show a visual portrait of the athlete Henrik Windstedt, and painting out the nuances in his physique and mentality that separate him from other skiers.
The film will be in stores in the end of November.
