About the "First-Tracks Inferno Tour"

Dreams of fresh powder snow, a feeling of spirit and wizards on skies and snowboards. These three ingredients build up the FIRST-TRACKS INFERNO TOUR

The idea is to set up an international snowboard and ski INFERNO TOUR which starts this winter 09/10 and grows every season to a highly appreciated powder league. The FIRST-TRACKS provides a platform to connect riders, events organizers, industry and media and to support the sport and its recognition.

The aim of the FIRST-TRACKS WEBSITE is to arrange a complete calendar of Freeride Cross / Inferno and Big Mountain events, to inform the riders, the event organizers, the media and the industry and to avoid collision of contest dates.

Events will be categorized in a system of Couloirs. The more Couloirs a competition owns, the more important is the event and the more points will the rider get in the ranking. The advantages of the categories are the comparability of the events, the better interpretation of the weight of the results, no limitation in the amount of tour stops, the possibility of development, the incentive for event organizers in receiving a high category and the position of event organizers towards sponsors and media.

Riders are able to have a better planning of their season and their results are better represented in the media. Their general idea of Freeriding, their way of living and their experience of freedom will be supported.
Through the ranking event organizers know the favorites and whom to consider for best video and photo coverage. By publishing the riders ranking, riders gain a better position in sponsor negotiations.

The FIRST-TRACKS INFERNO TOUR will be hosted on an independent website (www.first-tracks.org), which is easy to address for riders, media and event organizers.

The ranking criteria for the allocation of Couloirs are the number of participants, the support of the resort, the history and the spirit of the event, the national and international recognition, the perceived professionalism of organizers, the infrastructure, side events, accommodation and packages for riders, media coverage, prizes and prize money as well as the feedback of the rider through online questionnaire. Through these criteria a fair and international INFERNO TOUR can take place.
